For those students residing in the Middle East, we have appointed World Sky Aviation in Cairo to assist with your training in South Africa.
Skyhawk Aviation has a full time, in house English tuition centre. We offer various courses, depending on your level of English. This will improve your English, with emphasis on Aviation Technical English. Once the course is complete, we will also conduct the English Language Proficiency Rating, to ensure you achieve at least a level 4 (or higher) in English.

For students from India who wish to fly for airlines in India, Skyhawk Aviation trains you in accordance with DGCA requirements; our India Airline Program meets all minimum DGCA requirements. Successful completion of the airline program will earn you the necessary South African Civil Aviation Authority (SA-CAA) ratings and required DGCA flight hours, which will allow you to convert your licenses and ratings upon return to India.
All Skyhawk India programs are SA-CAA Part 141, which is considered professional career training. Only schools which are SA-CAA-approved and have approved training syllabi can be so designated. Under Part 141 training, the quality of student performance is measured through progressive flight exams (phase checks). All training is documented and maintained to SA-CAA standards.
Program Pricing and Length
Pricing includes all flight exams, written exams, books and uniforms. A serious student can complete the Airline Program in approximately 12 to 16 months. Please use our contact form, and we will send a complete breakdown of our course prices
Aircraft
Skyhawk flies only well-maintained aircraft for training. This is most important to prepare you for a professional career in aviation. Our fleet consists of Cessna 172, Piper PA-28 and PA-30 aircraft. We provide either Baron B58 or Piper PA-34 aircraft to satisfy the requirements of the DGCAA.
English Language Courses and Proficiency Rating
Skyhawk Aviation has a full time, in house English tuition centre. We offer various courses, depending on your level of English. This will improve your English, with emphasis on Aviation Technical English. Once the course is complete, we will also conduct the English Language Proficiency Rating, to ensure you achieve at least a level 4 (or higher) in English.
Accreditation
Skyhawk Aviation is accredited by the SA-CAA to provide the entire scope of aviation training – specifically Zero to Airline Transport Pilot, as well as Flight Instructor Training. Candidates who excel in their studies may have the opportunity to work at Skyhawk Aviation, within our Indian Division, as Flight Instructors to increase their experience.

To enroll, all international students must:
1. Complete the application form which will be emailed to you.
2. Send a copy of your passport.
3. Send a copy of the last two pages of your log book, if you have previous flight experience.
4. Send a deposit fee as prescribed in the enrolment form.
5. Show proof of health/accident insurance.
6. We will send a visa approval letter to you, which you must submit to the SA Consulate in India.
7. You will be issued with a study visa for South Africa.
8. Contact us for a scheduled arrival date, and we will arrange to collect you from the airport and take you to the accommodation.

Housing and Living Expenses
We will assist you in securing housing best suited for your budget. Skyhawk Aviation has accommodation close to the airport, but there are a few other options available. All are totally secure and comfortable. Internet is available as well as satellite TV.
We have dedicated transport to collect you each day to take you to our campus at Lanseria International Airport, as well as to shopping malls and recreational places during your time off. This is optional, if you choose to hire a vehicle. The options can be discussed on your arrival
